Introduction to Tasiilaq
Tasiilaq is the main town in East Greenland, and one of only two towns on the entire east coast. The town is located on the large island of Ammassalik, 100 km south of the Arctic Circle. The town has it all: calving glaciers, ice caps, hunters, picturesque wooden houses, and its characteristic needle-sharp peaks. At the same time, the island offers lush valleys with babbling rivers and an abundant display of flowers.
