Your journey from Copenhagen to Qaqortoq

Leg 1: Copenhagen (CPH) → Nuuk (GOH)

Air Greenland departs directly from Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, to Nuuk Airport (GOH) with Airbus A330-800neo «Tuukkaq». The flight takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes and operates up to daily, year-round. We recommend being at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. Check-in opens 3 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before.

    Connecting in Nuuk (GOH)

In Nuuk, you change to the domestic flight that takes you onward to Qaqortoq. Nuuk Airport is Air Greenland's main hub, and connections are arranged so you can usually avoid an overnight stay. If you'd still like a stopover in the capital, you can choose the Fly 'n sleep ticket with an overnight stay in Nuuk. Always check your specific connection time when booking, as schedules can vary by season.

Leg 2: Nuuk (GOH) → Qaqortoq (JJU)

The final leg is flown with a Dash-8 Q200 or Q400 turboprop aircraft and takes approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes. There are up to two daily departures year-round, rising to up to 17 weekly departures during the summer season.

    Arrival in Qaqortoq (JJU)

Qaqortoq Airport opened on 16 April 2026 and is now South Greenland's main airport, having replaced Narsarsuaq Airport. The runway is 1,500 metres and accommodates Dash-8 Q200 and Q400 aircraft. The town of Qaqortoq is known for its fjords, sheep farming and Norse historical sites, and from here it's a short trip to destinations including Tasermiut Fjord.

    When is it cheapest?

The lowest fares are typically found during the low season from October to March. If you'd like an overnight stay in Nuuk along the way, a Stopover via Nuuk ticket to Qaqortoq is available from approximately DKK 3,795 (accommodation not included). Book well in advance, particularly during the summer season, when demand is high.

    • Low season (Oct–Mar): from DKK 3,795

In the event of weather-related changes

Greenlandic weather can affect the flight, particularly on the Nuuk-Qaqortoq leg. We recommend a flexible fare type, as a delay on one leg can affect your connection.
