Your journey from Aalborg to Nuuk
From Aalborg Airport (AAL)
Air Greenland departs directly from Aalborg Airport to Nuuk Airport (GOH), flown with a leased Boeing 737-800 operated by AirSeven on Air Greenland's behalf. We recommend being at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. Check-in opens 3 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before.
A summer connection to Greenland
The route is flown twice a week – on Mondays and Thursdays – during the summer season from 16 June to 1 September, and is a popular way for travellers from Jutland to reach Greenland without connecting via Copenhagen. As the aircraft is a leased Boeing 737-800 rather than Air Greenland's own fleet, the onboard experience will differ slightly from other Air Greenland routes. There is no WiFi on board.
Arrival in Nuuk (GOH)
Nuuk Airport is Greenland’s main international gateway, opened in November 2024 with a new 2,200-metre runway. It lies just 4 km from the city centre – about a 10-minute taxi or local bus ride. From here you can easily continue on to other destinations in Greenland.
When is it cheapest?
As Aalborg-Nuuk only operates during the summer season (16 June-1 September), there is no low season to choose between for this specific route. Fares from approximately DKK 4,287 one-way have been seen in August and September, while July tends to be more expensive. Book well in advance, as the season is short and demand is high.
- July (peak season): from DKK 4,687
- August-September: from DKK 4,287
In the event of weather-related changes
Greenlandic weather can affect the flight, particularly on the connecting domestic legs beyond Nuuk. In the event of a weather cancellation, we rebook you free of charge to the next available departure, and you are contacted automatically by SMS and email. We recommend a flexible fare type, as a delay can affect onward connections.
